My experience with Kelsey in Joshua Tree went beyond my expectations and was one that I will never forget. It was my first yoga retreat and I was also the only one in the group traveling solo. I was a little nervous going in but quickly my nerves went away. Kelsey is very warm, welcoming and her bubbly energy is contagious. Her deep passion for yoga and love for the outdoors is a combination you can’t beat. She led two classes per day and also thoughtfully planned many hikes, group activities, meals and more. The trip was filled with laughter, bonding, connection to the great outdoors, and lots of fun yoga sequences. She allows all activities to be optional so no need to feel guilty if you need some quiet alone time. I would recommend Kelseys retreats to anyone — the solo traveler, a beginner, or the novice yogi, and for all ages. Highly recommend and hope to be back to one of her retreats in the future.

Gotta give a shout out!! Kelsey gave me more than I knew I needed last night. I was driving by and something made me turn in, and there was somehow a spot open.

For my first class back I was nervous, it was a challenging and grounding class. I felt connected to the energy of the room, but also heard my own body in a way I haven’t in months. I was feeling immense guilt. My heart was sitting in Vermont but I physically stuck in Charleston, or I guess I was just feeling stuck in general. I was holding onto the sadness of the passing of a friend who I didn’t get to say goodbye to. Listening to Kelsey’s words at the end of class, her tone (like always) just hit. It vibrated within me. I cried alone on my mat. The gentle falling from my cheek to the mat someone felt more healing than all the sobbing I had done all week. I don’t know what pulled me to the studio last night. But I cannot begin to truly thank you. I needed that class.

What can I say about Kelsey?! She is an amazing teacher, but honestly practicing with her feels more like she’s guiding us through something together. Her energy and her insight are always on point — she’s so good at speaking from her heart in an honest and vulnerable way that never fails to help me dig into something that I didn’t even know I needed to. Her flows are challenging and fun and smooth as we work towards peak poses, and best of all, she always gives us the time and opportunity to scale up to whatever level we want or need. She invites us to come to our mats as we are and creates a warm and inviting space that I want to stay in long after Savasana is over.

Kelsey is an amazing yoga instructor!  Not only will you get a full hour long workout for your body, your joints, and your ligaments, you will be supported, challenged and encouraged.   In her Lower Body Power Flow, she starts with life lessons that get your mind thinking.   As you begin the flow, these lessons begin to permeate your body.  Where do you need to just step forward?  Where do you need to just breathe?  Where do you need to push your body?  Where do you need to just let go and move to the calming and encouraging sound of her voice?

I LOVE her classes.  They leave me feeling inspired, and I walk away with deeper contemplation that I could have imagined.  Even when the flow is fast and I want to slow down or stop, Kelsey’s encouragement keeps me going and shows up at just the right moment.  At the end of savasana, my body feels great and is building more strength every day!

Just got done with the flow and LOVED it! Didn’t realize how much I missed your voice and flows! Felt like I was back in the studio! My spine and hips needed those twists more than I realized. Any and all flows that include low lunge twists and exalted warrior make me happy!!

“I have never been involved in a Yoga class or had any kind of Yoga experience when I stepped into Kelsey’s yoga class for the first time this past Fall season. I had heard from others about the wonderful benefits of Yoga but had not experienced it for myself. I had become very weak in my upper body arms and shoulder areas. I also had quite a bit of pain in those areas too. I have noticed a tremendous strength difference since I have been doing Yoga with Kelsey in the upper body areas. I also do not endure pain in those areas like I had prior to Yoga.

Kelsey is a wonderful teacher!! I would recommend her to all who are new to Yoga or experienced Yoga students. She does not make you feel awkward or ignorant if you do not know how to do a move or if you get confused during Yoga class. Kelsey is encouraging and is able to teach to all Yoga levels and she will have a beginner like me trying head stands by the end of a 12 week session. She plays the music in class just right —— it is not too loud or annoying and she has essential oils misting in the background which we all love and enjoy. She ends our class with a small massage to the neck area with coconut oil and truly seems to genuinely care about each person in the class. She also mixes the class routines so that it is not the same and it is never boring it is always full of new and old yoga moves to keep it exciting.

I would recommend Yoga and Kelsey’s teaching to anyone who wants to enjoy Yoga to the FULLEST!!!”
